Below are listed the world’s major archives, and a list, for each, of the films of Harold Lloyd that are housed at each site. This list, luckily, is to be continually added to, as new (old) films are found and rightfully placed in film archives, to receive the care and reassessment that they deserve. Let’s all support film preservation, as it is of crucial importance… Some of these films, listed herein, are in the process of being restored. Some are already restored, and some of the listed archives allow public viewing of the films they hold. This should always be requested, in advance of your visit, in letter form, to the address provided. Do remember that these archives are not public exhibition houses — these are sites, worldwide, that have joined the film preservation effort, and are as concerned about saving our precious film heritage as you are.
